Laguna Beach has met Nashville with the arrival of California coastal-inspired, fine jewelry brand gorjana.
The high-end retailer opened to the public on April 8. Its 1,111-square-feet building sits directly alongside fellow recently opened boutique LoveShackFancy on 2301 12th Ave S.
Founded and headquartered in 2004 by spouses Gorjana and Jason Griffin Reidel, gorjana has gained a dedicated following over the years, especially on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Because it is a viral company, gorjana already was familiar amongst a sizable number of Nashville shoppers before it made its home here.
“Something that we definitely noticed from being open since last Friday is that we already had a lot of brand awareness,” said Raquel Man, Multi-Store Manager at gorjana. “There were so many customers that walked in saying ‘I’ve heard of you guys from Instagram’ or ‘I’ve been to Laguna Beach or the California stores.’ It seems like Nashville has a large population of people who have visited us elsewhere, so they’re really excited to have us here too.”

The eponymous line is recognized for its timeless jewelry collections, its luxurious pieces’ ability to hold up well with everyday wear and its personalized stackable options capable of completing any look — whether one is searching for a classic finish or an effortless feel. Although fine jewelry is its specialty, a versatile variety of 18k gold-plated options are available for purchase.
Individualized styles are prioritized too. Sliding beads and adjustable clasps are features incorporated within most of gorjana’s jewelry designs. Collections such as Alphabet, Astrology and Gemstones allow customers to curate their layered jewelry looks and to mix and match to their hearts’ desires.
gorjana’s fresh presence in Music City is a result of a new vision to create and begin operating seven-plus brick and mortar retail stores in the first half of 2022.
According to co-founder Jason Griffin Reidel in a press release statement, “We are further investing into retail expansion in 2022 by expanding into new markets domestically. Retail is fundamental to our brand’s growth strategy and we continue to see phenomenal growth within the retail sector.”

The first manifestation of gorjana’s bold venture was on January 21, marked by its Greenwich, Connecticut, store opening. Once the seventh location opens its doors, a total of 33 stand-alone brick-and-mortar gorjana stores will exist.
Man described gorjana’s plans to become a key presence in the city, “We’re really trying to build our reputation here, so every single conversation goes ‘this is where we come from, and this is what our background is.’ Ultimately, a lot of people say we already know you so well, which is exciting. That’s why we wanted to land here in Nashville.”
