Jennifer Lopez makes the most of every outfit, but when it’s time to launch a new project, she and her stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn go into overdrive. With the release of her latest romantic-comedy, Marry Me, only a week away, Lopez has been hitting the talk show circuit to promote the film and her return to the beloved genre. While doing so, she’s worn one fabulous designer look after another. Yesterday alone, the star pulled out three showstoppers as she traversed Manhattan on her way to appearances on Live with Kelly and Ryan and The Today Show.
For Live with Kelly and Ryan, Lopez chose a romantic color scheme, opting for a monochromatic look from Valentino’s Resort 2022 collection. Onscreen, the rich hues of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s design popped and coordinated perfectly with the summery Isabel Marant midi dress worn by host Kelly Ripa. On a rainy February morning, her hot pink blazer, transparent pussy bow blouse, and culottes felt unexpected. Still, the cold weather is irrelevant when you’re seated beneath the studio lights at 7 Lincoln Square.
Once filming wrapped, Lopez switched gears, changing into one of the marble motif coats from Kim Jones’s resort 2022 collection for Fendi. The arresting print with its swirls of sapphire, green, and gold proved so appealing that Lopez chose to wear multiple versions of it, pairing a matching dress and Peekaboo tote both covered in the pattern. In the lookbook, model Effie Steinberg also sports a pair of marbleized heels, but Lopez selected Cassedei’s thigh-high suede Blade boots instead.
Hours later, Lopez revisited the idea of head-to-toe print in pieces from Fausto Puglisi’s pre-fall collection for Roberto Cavalli. Her ombré coat dress and boots bore the same python print, and she leaned into the serpentine concept by adding on accessories from Bulgari. With the house’s iconic Serpenti ring and the Forever crossbody satchel detailed with—what else?—a brass and enamel snakehead closure, Lopez kept her look cohesive.
Even when she’s off-duty, Lopez still manages to deliver an outré style moment. Following her round of interviews, she and boyfriend Ben Affleck checked into a downtown hotel—and while she could have pulled out one of her famous tracksuits, Lopez went full glam in a coat from Coach’s fall 2021 collection. Nonchalantly worn over a little black dress, the golden fur chubby was the chic conclusion to a fashion-filled day.
