This Week’s Picks: Gifts for Animal Lovers

Animal-themed picks never go out of style and we’ve got the picks to prove it. Read on to see how Lenise is relaxing “on the wild side” after market travel and how Anne-Marie and Alex spread joy to the animal lovers in their own families.

Lenise Willis’ Pick: Wild-Side PJ Pants and Slippers

I’ve worn more real clothes and shoes this month while covering market than I probably have all year! And though it’s nice dressing up each day and reuniting with so many industry friends, it’s also tiring. I had a great time covering the January shows in Dallas and Atlanta, but now I’m thankful to be able to kick up my feet and relax. Since I’ve been home, I’ve been lounging with my hubby and puppos in my trusty paw-print slippers from Snoozies and my new colorful leopard-print lounge pants by Amanda Blu. They’re both so soft and cozy and are the perfect accessories for taking a nap on the wild side.

Alex Herring’s Pick: Saving the Sharks

shark bracelet

For Christmas, I got my shark-loving husband his very own hammerhead. Okay, I didn’t actually buy a shark, but I did get him the next best thing: A Voyage bracelet from Fahlo. Since 2018, Fahlo has partnered with wildlife nonprofits to promote conservation efforts for sea turtles, elephants, polar bears and sharks. Each Fahlo bracelet purchased donates a portion of proceeds to nonprofit partners, and also comes with a QR code that lets customers track a wild animal via smartphone app. My husband’s shark, for example, is named Edie, and she likes to swim around reefs in The Bahamas.

Real-life shark and app aside, the bracelet itself is a stylish piece that “feels like a quality product,” according to my husband. It comes in a variety of nature-inspired colors, such as deep blue, reef red and sky stone, and can easily be stacked or mixed with other Fahlo bracelets. When my toddler son gets a little older, I look forward to getting him his very own shark, too!

Anne-Marie Earl’s Pick: Fantastic Animals

While I love traveling for work, I do get a little bit of mom guilt when I’m away. So when I was in Atlanta to cover Atlanta Market last week, I couldn’t help but look for surprises for my kids. I found these adorable stuffed fantastical animals by Aurora, and I just had to buy them. My daughter is a unicorn fanatic, and my son enjoys any lovey that’s squeezable and soft. They have been their favorite to snuggle up with since I’ve been home. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, and they are jut the right size for my small children’s arms.
